Eurobiomed has the following objectives:

• - Develop and federate synergies between healthcare stakeholders such as companies, research centres and educational institutions in order to boost the development of novel therapeutics, diagnostic tools, medical devices and healthcare services.

• - Provide business development support to companies via the implementation of services, tools, easier access to funding and contacts.
•  
• - Highlight the excellence of the academic and industrial healthcare research performed in South East of France.
•  
• - Foster the implementation of collaborative R&D projects and employment in our territory.

How we achieve our objectives:

Eurobiomed has put in place a number of actions and services dedicated to people involved in life science in order to achieve our objectives.

We regularly organize scientific seminars and business networking meetings both locally and internationally. These events increase the visibility of our members, help them meet potential partners as well as contribute to the diffusion of their latest findings in the healthcare field. For example, a team of industrials, all members of Eurobiomed, went with Eurobiomed to the BIO International Convention in Chicago in 2010.

One other main missions of Eurobiomed is to stimulate the implementation and funding of collaborative R&D projects. To this purpose, we help project leaders by:

• 1. Suggesting potential partners with the needed competences, resources or technology in industries, universities and hospitals;
•  
• 2. Providing information on the different types of funding, on deadlines and eligibility criteria;
•  
• 3. Assessing and advising, in confidentiality, the project proposal and related documents required to be eligible for funding and that will be submitted to Eurobiomed for accreditation.

Indeed, Eurobiomed is responsible for the accreditation (via the "label" Eurobiomed) of a number of R&D projects, thereby facilitating access to funding. For certain type of public funding, such as Inter-ministerial Fund (FUI), the accreditation from Eurobiomed is required.
