AlchiMedics is a spin-off from the CEA. It is a research services company in the field of materials and their interaction with the living environment, particularly in the field of implantable medical devices, and in particular in interventional cardiology and neurology. She specializes in particular in the design of materials, carrying out animal tests to demonstrate their behavior in vivo, and cell biology to demonstrate in vitro the mechanisms of reactions on these materials. In addition to these service provision activities, AlchiMedics carries out the concession, license and assignment of patents and trademarks. Around 2 million patients worldwide are today implanted with medical devices carrying technologies created and developed by AlchiMedics. Products using AlchiMedics technologies are now approved in Europe, Japan, China and the USA.
