KanopyMed
KanopyMed was founded in 2018 by Grégoire Mercier, a doctor, and by Ulysse Rodts, an economist, as a spin-off from the innovation extractor of the Montpellier University Hospital.
The company's ambition is to improve the quality, efficiency and equity of health systems through population-based approaches (public health) and individual (digital medical devices).
Kanopymed implements innovative methodologies (artificial intelligence, machine learning, dynamic mapping) to design decision support tools powered by health data (SNDS, registers, hospital data, open data).
Kanopymed places ethics at the heart of its values and is a founding member of EKITIA.
Grandes dates :
- In 2019, Kanopymed is a finalist in the AHRQ data challenge in the USA.
- In 2020, the company signed several collaborations with major players in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.
In 2021, KanopyMed secures funding of 250,000 euros to develop PREDIC, a future digital medical device in cardiology. - In April 2022, the company is joining forces with the Métropole de Montpellier and the Montpellier University Hospital to develop AIR-MAP, a digital twin of the metropolitan population intended to better understand the impacts of air pollution on health.
