According to French Society of Dermatology, more than a third of French people aged 15 are affected by a skin disease. One of the challenges of dermatology is to deal with a very large number of patients with extremely varied pathologies, very often multifactorielles. While certain pathologies have been known for a long time, others have been discovered by the general public more recently (vitiligo, alopecia areata, etc.). The latter do not yet have fully satisfactory treatments, even if significant progress is being made.
Several challenges must be met to ensure better patient care : wandering dermatological diagnosis, shortage of specialists and inequalities in access to care, obstacles to research and innovation for new treatments, etc.
Responding to all these issues is the objective of SKIN Excellence, the first cluster with international influencel at the service of santé de la peau. Initié par Eurobiomed, ce projet est soutenu par le Professeur Thierry PASSERON (PU-PH, CHU de Nice),la région SUD et Occitanie ainsi que les industriels et académiques du réseau Eurobiomed ayant un savoir-faire en dermatologie.
