The "health" cluster of pillar 2 aims to respond to complex challenges which, for the EU., Threaten public health and its citizens, the viability of its care and social protection systems, as well as the competitiveness of the industrial health sector.

The health cluster revolves around 6 areas of intervention:
1/ Health throughout life
2/ Damage to environmental and social health
3/ Rare and non -transmitted diseases
4/ Infectious diseases, including poverty -related diseases and neglected diseases
5/ Digital tools, technologies and solutions for health and care, including personalized medicine
6/ Care systems
