EUREKA INNOWWIDE

Project type

Launched in 1985, the Eureka association aims to facilitate international cooperation in technological research and innovation to boost the productivity and competitiveness of its member countries in cutting-edge technologies. Innowwide, which is part of Eureka, aims to support innovative SMEs in feasibility study projects outside Europe.

Project themes

Innowwide is a Eureka program funded by the European Union, enabling an innovative SME to obtain a grant of 60,000 euros to finance a feasibility study for an innovative solution in a non-European country. There is one Call for Proposals a year, and the next one is due to take place from September to the end of November 2025 (dates to be published shortly by Eureka).

Beneficiaries

  • Innovative SME
  • Have a six-month market feasibility study project in a country located in Africa, Asia, the Americas or Oceania (with the exception of Iceland, Israel, Norway, Switzerland, Turkey or the UK). The project must involve a combination of activities (technical, commercial, promotional).
  • Have a local main subcontractor in the target country.

Financing

Total eligible costs of at least €86,000, with subcontracting costs exceeding €0. Eligible costs include: personnel costs, subcontracting, purchasing costs - travel and subsistence expenses, depreciation of equipment, other goods, works and services, and indirect costs (calculated automatically on the basis of a flat rate of 25% of total eligible direct costs, excluding subcontracting).

Type of aid

The Innowwide program has a budget of 4.2 million euros to finance 70 projects. of this 4th edition. The 70 winning SMEs each receive a fixed grant of 60,000 euros, paid in 2 instalments: - 42,000 euros, paid at the start of project implementation - 18,000 euros paid at the end of the project, after submission of a final report validated by the Innowwide team team

Characteristics of supported projects

  • Be an innovative SME from a member country of the European Union (or Iceland, Israel, Norway, Switzerland, Turkey or the United Kingdom).
  • Have a main subcontractor in a non-European country: Africa, Americas, Asia, Oceania, with the exception of Iceland, Israel, Norway, Switzerland, Turkey or the UK, where you wish to develop and validate your innovative solution.
  • Have a market feasibility study project with this subcontractor, the result of which must have a strong impact on the target country.
  • Where appropriate, use frugal innovation.
