Project type

The aim of the Grand Défi "Digital Medical Devices in Mental Health" AAP is to support innovative projects in the field of digital technology for mental health and psychiatry, and to encourage the rapid emergence of companies that are leaders in their field, with the potential to achieve worldwide recognition by accelerating one of the development and market access phases.

Project duration: 12 to 36 months.

Project themes

Prevention, screening/diagnosis, care and remote monitoring using digital medical devices (DMDs) in the field of mental health, including mental disorders, addictive disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders.

The developments specifically targeted by this call for projects cover three stages:

  • Stage 1: Development of future digital medical devices for mental health (TRL > 4/5).
  • Stage 2: Clinical evaluation for CE marking of future Digital Medical Device.
  • Stage 3: Budget impact analysis (post-CE marking).

Beneficiaries

- Single-partner projects led exclusively by an SME within the meaning of European regulations.
- A consortium whose "lead" company is an SME, and which brings together industrial partners of all sizes and/or research partners, academics, universities, healthcare establishments, foundations and user associations. A consortium may include one or more large companies.

Financing

Present an indicative expenditure base in the range of 600k€ to 3M€.
