Oncophysics

Oncophysics is a Medtech start-up founded by Barthélémy Brossel in Marseilles, France in 2022, and hosted at the Marseille Innovation incubator. One of the only companies, if not the only, to believe in the therapeutic potential of mechanical oncology, our start-up company is dedicated to proposing a medical device using mechanical constraint in oncology. Backed by Business Angels and long-time academic partners, we are currently committed, along with INSERM and CNRS team, to explore the in vitro response of various cancerous lineages to mechanical constraint. At this stage, we are gathering academic partners in the nanochemistry, electrical engeneering and oncology research fields to further experiments with the goal to prove experimentally that a constraint field is a valid option in cancer therapy. We expect the first results in 2024.
