CYTOBODX SAS

Saint Maximin la Sainte Baume / 170 traverse du rayol

Membrane proteins belong to a central class of the cellular proteome. They are involved in many biological processes. Producing these proteins for structural or functional studies is a difficult task because of their instability once extracted from their original membrane. This is why CytobodX proposes to use extracellular vesicles, which are attracting a lot of attention from the scientific community. CytobodX uses a methodology developed at the AFMB lab, to which its founder made a major contribution when she was a contract researcher there. This process makes it possible to rapidly obtain stable membrane proteins whose environment is as close as possible to their natural state. These vesicles are highly immunogenic. The company offers structural studies of membrane proteins on these vesicles by cryo-tomography, as well as functional studies.
